We, Logan and fir moon, fell in love with growing vegetables by hand while exploring B.C. and dreamed of a life where we could put our hands in the soil each and every day.
Now back in our home community, and joined by our two little farmers, we are so grateful to be nurturing and being nurtured by Mother Earth!
hand-to-earth
"hand-to-earth" means that we seed, water, weed, harvest, and love each and every vegetable we grow only with the use of our hands. These practices encourage us to slow down, to drop out of our mind and into our bodies, and call upon nature's wisdom to foster abundance in the garden.
We believe being in right relationship with the Earth is integral to growing healthy food.
That's why we use compost and composted manure in place of chemical fertilizers/pesticides. We aim to be in harmony with the soil's natural ecology and biodiversity. We use only organic seeds, and love to source heirloom varieties.
